The Teahouse is one of about five restaurants on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. What makes the restaurant unique from the rest is, of course, their tea! Tea from the Teahouse comes from five different countries. These countries include China, Japan, India, Sri Lanka and America (Santa Fe specifically)!
With well over 100 teas, it gives you an opportunity to try something new every time you go there.
What I Ordered
I went to the Teahouse for breakfast the first morning I arrived to Santa Fe. I’m not a big egg person, which is what a lot of their breakfast menu consists of, so I decided to go with the Belgium Waffles. I’m glad I did. They were absolutely delicious. They looked so good that the guy sitting next to us said he needed to get them as well. It’s typically topped with bananas and strawberries but I had them switch out the strawberries for extra bananas due to me being a weirdo who doesn’t like strawberries.
What made it even better was that I asked for peanut butter on the side. Peanut butter on waffles, or pancakes, IS AMAZING in case you were unaware. I’ve noticed that a lot of restaurants are moving away from selling food with peanut butter in them due to the high number of people with peanut allergies. Luckily, they use peanut butter in one of their soups, so I was able to get some on the side!
With my waffles I had one of the flavored green teas. I honestly can’t remember exactly which one but I know it was different types of fruit. Personally, I like my tea sweeter than the most southern point of Texas, but this was not the case with this tea. So if you love green teas, you’ll love the ones here. If you love more sugar than tea, this may not be for you. Their menu is definitely based around healthier choices!
Like most restaurants, the menu can change at any time. One thing is for sure, though… you’ll always have a good selection of tea!
The Teahouse has two different menus. One for food and one for drinks. The amount of tea they have to offer can be overwhelming. So, I suggest taking a glance at it before you walk in!
You can find the drink menu on their website here: The Teahouse Drink Menu

I found this place to be a pretty average price. It costed around $15 for my meal which isn’t too expensive but also not the cheapest. It’s not a place I’d go to every day for breakfast but still somewhere I’d definitely go to once while visiting without breaking the bank.
There are two parking lots for the public on Canyon Road. One of them is conveniently located right next to the Teahouse.
Sadly, parking is not free. They have pay per hour parking. You can pay just for the time you’re eating or pay extra for when you get done to walk the entire Canyon Road!
The Teahouse is located on Canyon Road which is an entire attraction on it’s own! Canyon Road is famous in New Mexico for being the home to over 100 art galleries. If you love art, you’re in for a treat!
